Duffy Bill heard today – and assigned to newly-created “Subcommittee on Red Light Cameras”

So, we got word that Sen. Dan Duffy’s SB 2466, the bill that will ban redcams in Illinois, was heard this afternoon and assigned to the newly-created “Subcommittee on Red Light Cameras” (a committee so new it didn’t have members yet as of Tuesday night).

This means that we are still alive and kicking – we’ve even received a promise from the chairman of the Transportation Committee, Sen. Martin Sandoval, that we will be heard. Now is the time to turn up the heat – we have it in our power to get redcams banned. Let’s get to work.
